Compulsory testing of packaging of dangerous substances and preparations, provided with chlidren protection closures
On the basis of the Act of 25 February 2011 on chemical substances and mixtures (Journal of Laws No. 63, item 322, as amended), the packaging of certain hazardous substances or mixtures offered or sold to consumers must be provided with closing devices opening by children.
Pursuant to the Regulation of the Minister of Health of 11 June 2012 on the category of dangerous substances and dangerous mixtures, the packaging of which is provided with closures that make it difficult for children to open and tactile warning of danger (Journal of Laws, item 688, as amended)

The packaging of substances or mixtures marked in accordance with the regulations issued on the basis of art. 20 para. 11 of the Act of 25 February 2011 on chemical substances and their mixtures, hereinafter referred to as "the Act", as very toxic, toxic or corrosive, offered or sold to consumers, are equipped, irrespective of the packaging's capacity, with closures making it difficult for children to open tactile warning of danger.

Packaging of substances or mixtures containing at least 3% of methanol (CAS No 67-56-1) or at least 1% of dichloromethane (CAS No 75-09-2), offered or sold to consumers, shall be fitted, irrespective of the packaging's capacity, with making it difficult for children to open.

Packaging of substances or mixtures offered or sold to consumers, which in accordance with the regulations issued on the basis of art. 19 para. 5 of the Act or table 3.2 of Annex VI to Regulation No. 1272/2008 are classified and labeled as harmful with the assigned phrase R65 "Harmful, may cause lung damage if swallowed", with the exception of substances or mixtures placed on the market in aerosol containers or in containers equipped in airtight aerosol generating devices, in a closure that impedes opening by children, are provided, irrespective of the capacity of the package.
Tests aimed at confirming the conformity of packaging with the requirements imposed by the above provisions of law may be performed in the Primary Packaging and Material Testing Laboratory. The way they are made is fully in line with the above-mentioned Regulation and takes into account the latest standards regarding this subject:

All tests carried out are covered by the PCA accreditation No. AB 185.
At the request of the test principal, a Certificate is issued confirming that the tested packages have met the above-mentioned legal requirements.
