The European Commission has published a report, made by an independent consultancy company, on the impact of oxo-degradable materials on the environment, which shows that oxo-degradable products are not suitable for any form of composting and have a negative impact on the recycling process. In addition, the EC takes into account the possibility of prohibiting the use of this type of products within the European Union.
